Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about our booking platform and how it works

4Drive Fiji connects you directly with local Fijian rental companies. We process the booking advance online; the supplier issues your voucher with the full agreement details. Most questions travellers ask relate to what happens before collection and at the counter in Nadi.

How does the booking process work?

Select dates and vehicle on our platform, pay the booking advance online, receive a voucher by email within hours. The voucher names the supplier, their contact, pickup location on Queens Road in Martintar, and the balance due at collection. You sign the rental agreement directly with the supplier when you collect the keys.

Do I need a credit card or deposit?

No deposit and no credit card required. The booking advance is processed online; at the counter you settle the balance with cash, debit card, or credit card. The supplier does not hold a deposit or authorisation on your card. This policy sets Fiji apart from many markets and makes budgeting straightforward.

What documents do I need at pickup?

Full valid driving licence held for at least two years, passport, printed or digital voucher. If your licence uses non-Latin script, bring an International Driving Permit alongside it. The supplier will photocopy both and file them with the agreement.

What is the minimum age?

Twenty-one years for sedans and compact SUVs, twenty-five for seven-seaters and 4WD models. Licence must have been held for at least two years. Age policy is set by the supplier and printed on your voucher.

Can I change or cancel my booking?

Yes, within the timeframe stated in the voucher. Email [email protected] or call +679 670 3428 Monday to Sunday, 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Fiji time (GMT+12). Cancellation terms depend on how far ahead you notify us; standard practice allows free amendment up to forty-eight hours before collection.

Is fuel included?

No. You collect with a full tank and return it full. Total and Pacific Energy stations are common along Queens Road between Nadi and Suva. If you return the vehicle below full, the supplier charges a refuelling fee detailed in your agreement.

What happens if I have an issue during the rental?

Contact the supplier first using the phone number on your voucher; they manage roadside assistance and can dispatch help across Viti Levu. For booking-related questions, reach our team on the contact details above during office hours. The supplier's agreement explains breakdown and accident procedures.

Can I pick up at Nadi International and drop off elsewhere?

Most suppliers operate from Martintar, five minutes south of the airport terminal on Queens Road. One-way drop-off to Suva or other towns is possible; the fee appears in your quote before payment. Airport meet-and-greet inside the terminal incurs a separate charge noted in the voucher if you select that option.

What insurance is included?

Third-party liability and collision damage waiver with excess are standard. The excess amount and coverage exclusions - unsealed roads, water crossings, tyre and windscreen damage - appear in the supplier's agreement. You read and sign it at the counter before driving away.

Why book through 4Drive Fiji instead of directly?

Single search across multiple local suppliers, online advance payment secured, English-language support before you land. We vet the operators for legal compliance and vehicle standards. You still get the supplier's direct agreement and local service, but the comparison and booking steps happen in one place.
